Pacesetter Health is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Lancaster, OH

Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support physicians and other members of the health care team in by gathering patient medical history, obtaining and recording vital statistics. They will enter required information into EMR to ensure quality of care.
Job Function and Duties:
  • Greet patients promptly and courteously
  • Perform duties under the supervision and direction of the physician
  • Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician
  • Triage patients as needed
  • Complete patient paperwork and enter into the EMR at the time of encounter
  • Update medical records
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, clean and stock exam rooms
  • Create/Transfer orders
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Must be professional and courteous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a team or independently
  • Computer Skills a must
  • Must be willing to get a GXMO license for X-ray (we will help you to obtain license)
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
  • May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 20 pounds as needed throughout the day.
Schedule and Related Information:
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday no Weekends
  • Travel to other locations may be occasionally necessary
